JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Al-Assaf held a meeting in Jeddah with his Burundian counterpart Ezechiel Nibigira. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and issues of mutual interest. A memorandum of understanding was signed on political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia and Burundi. After the signing, Al-Assaf said they had reviewed relations between the Kingdom and Burundi, stressing the importance of the relationship as well as Saudi Arabia’s broader links to Africa. The meeting and signing ceremony were attended by Saudi Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Qattan and Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Azzam bin Abdulkarim Al-Qain.
