Princes’ School in Al-Ahsa was one of the first public schools to be established in the Gulf region. It opened in 1941 and was attended by urban elite and royals. It was recently renovated by the Heritage Foundation and is now a small museum that offers a window into traditional teaching methods. This photograph of Princes’ School was taken by Naif Al-Abbady as part of the Colors of Saudi competition.
