The Saudi government approved on Tuesday tasking the interior minister or a representative to discuss with Iraq a security cooperation agreement between Riyadh and Baghdad. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the government meeting in NEOM. He congratulated Hajj pilgrims on their arrival in the Kingdom to perform this year’s holy rituals. He was briefed on the arrangements and services provided by various sectors to the pilgrims throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia. The ministers then reviewed the latest regional and international developments. They hailed the agreement to establish a Saudi-Bahraini coordination council. The council will see the formation of a number of committees dedicated to political, military, economic, investment, media and social affairs. The development will serve to boost cooperation between the two countries. They also condemned terrorist attacks that struck Somalia, Afghanistan and Nigeria, saying Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with fraternal states against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
