The Yemeni government notified on Friday its officials not to deal with any authority outside the state apparatuses. The order is an indirect reference to the Southern Transitional Council, considered by the legitimacy as a coup that has disrupted all state institutions in the interim capital of Aden. On Friday, Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abulmalik directed government officials to consider any orders or appointments by separatist institutions in south Yemen as invalid, according to the Yemeni news agency Saba. The Prime Minister also ordered ministers and chiefs of state agencies to block administrative paper work by the STC. In the same context, Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar al-Aryani confirmed that the government would carry out its tasks by confronting any attempts to damage the Yemeni state. In comments posted on his Twitter account, the minister said, “As the government confronted Iranian-backed Houthi militias, it will oppose any armed formations outside the framework of military and security institutions.” Aryani reiterated the legitimate government’s confidence in Saudi Arabia and its full support to the Kingdom’s efforts to end the coup in Aden. Earlier on Friday, the Yemeni Foreign Ministry suspended activities at its offices in Aden except for service works that have a direct impact on citizens, until things were back to how they were before the STC took control over the government camps in the interim capital. Hamza Al Kamali, Yemens deputy youth minister, said on Friday that vacuum in Aden servers the Houthi militias. This week, the government said that it would not take part in any talks before the STC complies with the Arab Coalition demand to withdraw from all positions that it seized in the temporary capital.
