Saudi Arabia, Pakistan Discuss Cooperation in Energy, Mining

A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan held talks in Islamabad on Friday to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in the fields of refining, mining and renewable energy. The Pakistani side was represented in the talks by Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan, while the Kingdoms delegation was represented by Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer. At the outset of the talks, the Minister Ayub welcomed the Saudi delegation, stressing that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Ayub said that Pakistan considers its relations with Saudi Arabia as long-standing fraternal relations rooted in the depth of history and have multiple economic, political and strategic dimensions. He also said relations with the Kingdom cannot be compared with relations with any other country.
