Saudi Justice Minister Starts Official Visit to Belarus to Explore Judicial Cooperation

Saudi Justice Minister Waleed al-Samaani started an official visit to Belarus on Wednesday where he will meet his Belarusian counterpart Oleg Slizhevskiy to promote justice relations between the two countries. The visit aims at developing ties and enhance judicial collaboration. The Saudi justice minister will highlight major judicial developments, which resulted in Saudi Arabia’s ranking among the top 20 reformist countries in the 2018 international ease of doing business index. The Saudi delegation will be introduced to judicial procedures and applications in Belarus. During the visit, Al-Samaani will discuss issues of mutual concern, as well as means of enhancing relations and exchanging expertise in the legal field. The two sides are expected to sign a road map for implementing the judicial memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Justice and its Belarusian counterpart for the period 2019 -2020, in addition to talks on signing of a judicial cooperation agreement between the two countries.
