Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Friday there was no cause for concern over attempts to discredit his rule. “Egypt is a strong country thanks to Egyptians," Sisi told reporters with a smile, shortly after his return from the UN General Assembly in New York. “You need to know that the Egyptian people are very aware… Dont worry about anything." Asked about the Muslim Brotherhood, which Egypt considers a terrorist organization, Sisi said that there was a “war” between the people and the group. He reiterated that the media has a huge role in raising awareness among Egyptians and confronting rumors. Sisi said that at some point he would request a show of mass support in which Egyptians would "go out in their millions".
