NEW YORK: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has been praised for its work helping the world’s needy at a top-level meeting in New York. Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, general supervisor of KSRelief met with Peter Maurer, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), at the headquarters of the Kingdom’s permanent mission to UN in New York. The two men discussed strengthening cooperation between the center and the ICRC to provide primary health care, emergency medical treatment and physical rehabilitation services in Yemen and other countries. Maurer praised the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom around the world. Al-Rabeeah also met Henrietta Fore, UNICEF executive director, to discuss joint programs in support of children in need around the world, especially in Yemen and Syria, and among the Rohingya refugee population. Fore thanked the Kingdom for its support for UNICEF, which contributes significantly to the implementation of development projects benefiting millions of children.
