Saudi KSrelief Organizes Seminar in Paris on Role of Humanitarian Assistance

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) organized a symposium entitled "the role of humanitarian aid in supporting science and knowledge in the affected areas" and held an exhibition on the sidelines of the symposium at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris on Wednesday. The exhibition was held to support the education sector in a number of affected countries. Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, delivered a speech highlighting how since joining UNESCO as a founding member in London in 1946, Saudi Arabia has undertaken many initiatives to consolidate ways of joint cooperation to strength its global mission to alleviate the suffering of the needy in the affected countries across the world by carrying out specific projects in the humanitarian and relief fields, so as to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Rabeeah also stressed that in light of the increasing variables of crisis situations and humanitarian emergencies in the contemporary world, there is need to keep abreast of the latest developments to address these crises and their effects in line with the goals of sustainable development, most notably the eradication of poverty and the creation of areas of quality education for all, gender equality, and decent employment opportunities. Dr. Al-Rabeeah further affirmed that Saudi Arabia is seeking to move forward in the completion of its international achievements to help the needy in the affected communities in cooperation with the United Nations organizations and the international community, through launching of specialized projects and programs of renewable quality, as well as pioneering initiatives to build young generations in disaster-stricken societies for a prosperous future.
