Participants were trained in strategies to eliminate conflict, ensure stability and contribute to the development of Yemen RIYADH: Sixty Saudi nationals from government ministries have completed conflict management training after taking part in a workshop jointly organized by the Kingdom and the US, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday. Participants were trained in strategies to eliminate conflict, ensure stability and contribute to the development of Yemen, said the Kingdom’s envoy to the country, Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber. Al-Jaber, who is also the general supervisor of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY), said participants were ready to contribute to the development of Yemen and were equipped with the necessary knowledge to do so, especially as it required solving complex issues that were aggravated in conflict zones. The SDRPY was established to devise and implement projects in all areas affecting the daily lives of Yemenis, to facilitate recovery, create job opportunities, provide basic services and support the economy. The workshop was organized by the SDRPY and attended by the US Ambassador to Yemen Christopher Henzel, a delegation from the US Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, representatives from different Saudi government sectors, and SDRPY staff.
