Service will resume at the Haramain train station on Wednesday, announced operators on Sunday, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Operation at the facility was halted due to a fire that erupted there in late September. Operations and Maintenance Director of the Haramain High-Speed Railway Rayan Al-Harbi said the station will be accessible to passengers traveling between the Madinah, King Abdullah Economic City and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Trains to the holy city of Makkah are set to resume the following week. Work is still underway to restore operations at the al-Sulaymaniyah station in Jeddah. During peak hours, the Haramain train operates one trip every ten minutes, with a capacity of 20 million passengers annually.
