Saudi Business Sector Promised With Attractive Investment Opportunities in Cyprus

The Saudi business sector focuses on bolstering partnership opportunities and trade and investment cooperation with Cyprus. A Cypriot diplomat stressed the availability of attractive opportunities for the Saudi private sector, by providing financial capabilities and privileges to Saudi investors. Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) Dr. Sami al-Obeidi, for his part, stressed on Monday the importance of the Saudi-Cypriot investment partnerships in various commercial fields. This came during his meeting with Cypriot Ambassador to the Kingdom Stavros Avgoustides in the CSC headquarters in the capital, Riyadh. Obeidi also pointed to the distinct opportunities for Saudi investors to benefit from with their Cypriot counterparts. “The Kingdoms Vision 2030 aims to find economic and investment integration with the friendly countries, including the Republic of Cyprus, because of its natural wealth and geographical location,” said Obeidi. He noted that the stability of the Cypriot economic markets attract Saudi investors and businessmen to create partnerships and sign broad agreements that increase the rates of trade exchange for them and open new channels for investments. He stressed the CSC’s keenness to support the Saudi-Cypriot business sector, exchange visits between both countries, and create success stories for joint investments that will promote investments in the small and medium-sized enterprises and investments in their major projects. Avgoustides affirmed his governments keenness on broad investment cooperation that represents an extension of the successes of Saudi businessmen who had invested in Cyprus. This cooperation would also harness all the financial capabilities, geographical privileges, and natural resources of Saudi investment, he added, welcoming Saudi business owners to invest in Cyprus, especially in the field of tourism, energy, and real estate.
