Saudi Arabia and Mauritius enjoy friendly ties RIYADH: Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Mauritius Showkutally Soodhun on Monday presented a copy of his credentials to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. The foreign minister will present his credentials to King Salman. Prince Faisal wished Soodhun continued success in consolidating and enhancing ties between the two countries. Saudi Arabia and Mauritius enjoy friendly ties. In an interview with Arab News, he said his country had seen a 400 percent increase in the number of Saudi tourists in the last couple of years following the opening of direct flights. Comparing 1987 with 2019, Soodhun said the Kingdom had changed tremendously but the “best changes” had taken place since 2015. “There is more justice, liberty, and discipline, and a more responsible population is evolving as more Saudi youth are joining the labor market, occupying different jobs, and standing on their own feet.”
