UAE’s Health of Ministry announced the first recovery of a coronavirus patient admitted into one of the country’s hospitals. Liu Yujia, a 73-year-old woman from China, who was admitted after being infected by the coronavirus, has recovered fully and “can carry on with life normally,” according to the Ministry. Liu thanked UAE authorities for the great care and medical attention she received. She went on to say that she is grateful for the care provided by the UAEs healthcare authorities to her family members, who were also tested positive for the new virus. Liu was visited by Chinese Consul General Li Xuhang, UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Assistant Under-Secretary for Health Centres and Clinics, Hussein al-Rand, to congratulate her on her full recovery, reported UAE’s Agency (WAM). Xuhang expressed his gratitude to the UAE leadership, government, and people for demonstrating the true meaning of solidarity with Chinese people in confronting this latest outbreak. He expressed his relief and joy following the announcement of Yujias recovery, lauding the UAEs advanced health care systems and the strong coordination between both countries. For his part, Assistant Under-Secretary al-Rand said the results of the 2019-nCoV detection test conducted on the patient turned out negative of the new coronavirus. Rand noted that the UAE has taken all necessary measures to deal with the newly announced coronavirus cases. “Individuals diagnosed are receiving proper health care in accordance with leading World Health Organization standards, with each individual case being monitored until full recovery is attained,” announced Rand. "This case of the Chinese lady increases hope that other discovered cases in the UAE can also be fully recovered," he affirmed. UAE detected two new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, bringing the total number of people diagnosed with the disease to seven.
