He was not even on the ballot but Michael Bloomberg “won” the New Hampshire primary — at least among the four Democrats in Dixville Notch. Residents of the tiny rural township have gathered to vote on the stroke of midnight in every primary since 1960. This year two of the four residents who voted in the Democratic primary wrote the name of the billionaire former Republican mayor of New York on their ballot papers. Mr Bloomberg, 77, declared his candidacy for the Democratic nomination only in November, too late to make it on to the ballot in any of the first four states to hold votes.
