President Trump has renewed his public attacks on the US Federal Reserve and Jerome Powell, its chairman, for keeping interest rates too high. Writing on Twitter, his favourite communication platform, the president went after Mr Powell as the Fed boss was giving testimony to Congress yesterday suggesting that now would be a good time to reduce the federal budget deficit, which is expected to top $1 trillion this year.
