HR chief Eileen Naughton joins top-level Google exodus

Google’s human resources chief is stepping down amid mounting tension between management and workers over its handling of sexual harassment allegations. Eileen Naughton said that she was quitting as head of its “people operations” because she wanted to be closer to her family in New York. Ms Naughton, 62, who has been with Google for 14 years and is a former head of sales for its British division, intends to find another role at the company. Her departure is part of a broader shake-up of Google’s executive ranks. David Drummond resigned last month as the company’s chief legal officer.
