Michael Bloomberg has taken the lead in a state poll of Democratic presidential candidates for the first time as he traded barbs with President Trump in what felt like a rehearsal for November’s election. Mr Bloomberg, 77, topped a poll in Arkansas, one of 14 states voting for candidates on Super Tuesday next month, as he continued his swing through another, North Carolina.
