Al-Jubeir highlights Saudi-Romanian historic ties

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir participated in a symposium at Carol I University in Romania’s capital city, Bucharest, on Thursday. Al-Jubeir is currently on an official visit to the country, marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Romania. During the symposium, Al-Jubeir highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve regional and global security. Earlier, the foreign minister met Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and conveyed greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the president, government and people of Romania as well as their wishes for steady progress, prosperity and stability.  He also met Romanian Prime Minister Ludovic Orban. Al-Jubeir also met separately with Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu; Cristian-Sorin Dumitrescu, chairman of the committee for foreign affairs of the Romanian Senate; and Biro Rozalia-Ibolya, chairwoman of the foreign policy committee of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies.
