The former prime minister of the German state of Thuringia, Bodo Ramelow, has said he is willing to make concessions to his former political opponents in order to avoid further deepening the political crisis which has rocked Germany. Mr Ramelow was ousted in early February in a deal between the Right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) and Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats (CDU), breaking the long-standing taboo in German politics against cooperating with far-Right parties. The former prime minister however said he would again work with the CDU in order to end the political crisis in the region and avoid holding new elections. Mr Ramelow, who was prime minister for six years from 2014 until February 5th as a member of Die Linke (The Left), indicated he would run again for the top job....
