Abdulla Said, co-founder of Dailymealz, said that the idea behind the app was to end the hassle of choosing what to eat during a lunch break.  “We save time and improve lifestyle and productivity. That’s why we decided to create this app, because healthy lifestyles are trending now in Saudi Arabia and in the Gulf region,” he said.  “The main purpose of this app is not about eating low calories and losing weight, but to provide clean and healthy foods,” he added. Ruba Al-Harbi, business development manager at Dailymealz, pointed out that they provided vegetarian and vegan lunch plans, and that people could now subscribe to Keto meal plans too. Al-Harbi also mentioned that Dailymealz carefully calculated meals, and clients could see all the calories and nutritional value of each meal through the app. She added that her team was working with big companies and Saudi programs to focus on increasing quality of life. “One of the companies that we worked with is STC (Saudi Telecom Company) where we are providing employees with healthy meals, and special offers to encourage them to eat healthily,” she added. Said said: “We are totally different from other food apps because they are on-demand which means that you have to order your food when you’re hungry and not in advance. “However, Dailymealz is subscription-based; you can order for the whole week or the whole month, in just one click. Then, the food will be delivered to you every day. In eight minutes, you can choose your meals for the whole month, set up your office number, your company name, and then you will receive your meals with the same driver every day.” Dailymealz is expanding in Riyadh, and has launched in Jeddah, Dammam, Alkhobar and in Kuwait. Co-founder Moataz Abuonq told Arab News that as part of their social responsibility the company was “trying to be a green company to help the environment. “We are also giving suggestions to the restaurants that we are working with to change their packaging to paper or glass so that it can be easily recycled,” he added. Dailymealz provides weekly $48, two-week $96 or month-long $187 subscription plans to deliver food to offices (the week covers five working days).
