The Prince of Wales has said that climate change will now cost a fortune to fix because the world “put the problem off for so long”, as he warns “we really do have to pull our fingers out now”. The Prince, interviewed on the 50th anniversary of his first speech on the environment, said human beings “don’t take the necessary steps until everybody is hit in the face with the problem”, with saving the planet now “going to cost more than it would have done if we had addressed the issue some time ago”. Saying there was “absolutely not” enough action to address a “climate crisis”, he said: “The theory is we have got this decade left. Well we need to do it in a much shorter time than that to have any chance really”....
