Londoners heartbroken over Brexit should be allowed to keep their EU citizenship, the city"s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, has said. Speaking ahead of a visit to Brussels on Tuesday, Mr Khan urged the Government to allow British nationals to have "associate citizenship" of the EU after the UK left the bloc. This would allow them to keep many of the rights they held before Brexit, including that to move freely between EU member states. Although unsure of how this might potentially work, Mr Khan suggested it could either be "a stamp in your passport or a separate document". "Like so many Londoners, I am heartbroken that we are no longer a member of the European Union – but that doesn"t mean our country"s future can"t be closely linked with the rest of Europe," he said....
