RIYADH — Saudi authorities on Saturday confirmed detection of two new coronavirus for two female citizens, Saudi Press Agency reported. The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the first patient came back to the Kingdom through Bahrain and did not declare at the Saudi port about her visit to Iran. The other patient came back to the Kingdom via the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and did not declare her visit to Iraqi city of Najaf. “The case is currently isolated in the hospital, and being provided the health service in accordance with the approved health procedures,” the ministry said. According to the ministry statement, samples were taken from all people who have had contacts with the infected person for laboratory tests at the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control, and results will be announced upon completion of the tests. Saudi Arabia on Friday called on citizens to declare visits to Iran in the past 14 days, as part of measures to contain the coronavirus outbreak, according to a statement by the Kingdom’s General Authority for Civil Aviation.
