French Senator Nathalie Goulet called for international cooperation on banning the Muslim Brotherhood. She also stressed that Saudi Arabia is leading massive efforts to confront hate and is contributing to the fight against Iran’s regional proxies. "Cooperation between France and Saudi Arabia is proceeding well, especially at the cultural level, and there are greater areas before us to revitalize it,” Goulet said in an interview with Asharq Al-Awsat on the sidelines of her visit to the Kingdom. “We can do a lot to enhance cooperation in other important aspects as well, such as tourism, and we can also achieve an important amount of cooperation in the diplomatic sector and the civil service, especially since France is distinguished in this aspect,” she clarified. The senator stressed the need to grant the Kingdom time to fulfill changes it is undergoing, especially in terms of the Kingdom Vision 2030. Goulet praised the Saudi role in security and stability in the region, saying it was a “very important role.” “The Kingdom is leading an alliance against terrorism. It also continues to reinforce the fight against hatred through several tools, including the Global Center to Combat Extremism,” Goulet added. Goulet, after meeting a number of Saudi monetary officials, praised the efforts exerted by the Kingdom to combat money laundering and terror funding.  Noting that it is important for the world to know how far Saudi Arabia has gone in its efforts, Goulet said she will organize some events in France to increase cooperation between Paris and Riyadh. “I am very happy and proud to cooperate with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency and the Saudi Arabia Financial Investigation bodies,” Goulet added. Goulet also drew attention to the transformation and development that the Kingdom is currently experiencing, labeling it as “unimaginable.”
