JEDDAH — The non-profit Red Sea International Film Festival Foundation announced on Tuesday a fund of SR200,000 ($53,283) in the form of emergency community relief grants to support Saudi filmmakers. The fund aims to help freelance Saudi filmmakers who have sustained a financial loss resulting from cancelled or postponed gigs or opportunities directly related to precautionary measures against coronavirus. All Saudis working in the film industry are eligible for the one-time emergency grant of up to SR5,000 on the basis of merit. Applications will be open until the fund is exhausted.
