Riyadh Mayoralty distributes sanitizers free of charge

RIYADH — The authorities in Riyadh are distributing hand sanitizers free of cost to citizens and expatriates residing in the capital city as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. The sanitizers, produced Riyadh Mayoralty in its central laboratories, are being distributed mainly in 25 locations, including traffic lights and premises of a number of government agencies and departments. The mayoralty announced that the initiative, which is in line with the directives of the leadership to pay utmost attention to the safety of citizens and expatriates, is being carried out under the supervision of Riyadh Emir Prince Faisal Bin Bandar and Deputy Emir Prince Muhammad Bin Abdul Rahman. It stressed the need for everyone to join hands in efforts to stem the spread of the pandemic by creating awareness among the public, especially about continuous hand sanitizing in line with guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health. The mayoralty has recruited a number of people to distribute sanitizers, saying that it would continue distributing them during the coming days so as to ensure that it reaches the largest number of people among the inhabitants of Riyadh city.
