Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz bin Musaed reviewed the region’s prices and stock monitoring report since the plan addressing the novel coronavirus came into effect. The report was presented by the head of the region’s Ministry of Commerce branch, Turki bin Rajeh Al-Suleiman. Commenting on the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Jalawi said: “We should give and take in all matters unless they affect citizens’ safety, which is a red line that cannot be crossed.” He commended the efforts of the branch’s staff on the field, noting that employees working in all sectors to deal with repercussions of the virus have “showed their dedication not only to their functional duty but to their religious and national duty.” Prince Jalawi also expressed his appreciation for the initiatives launched by businessmen in all fields, including private hospitals and hotels, who put their capabilities at the disposal of government bodies. “Their support was not surprising in light of the circumstances,” Prince Jalawi said. “They proved that the private sector will turn into a public sector when the national interest is at stake.” He lauded the cooperation of citizens with state bodies through the submission of reports or voluntary initiatives, which contributed to monitoring efforts.Main category: Saudi ArabiaTags: China CoronaviruscoronavirusNajran King Salman says Saudi Arabia ‘taking all measures’ to fight coronavirus in speech to nationProactive approach slowed down spread of COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia, says Eastern Province governor
