The ICA will set up a mechanism for visitors to prolong their stay legally There are 198 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country DUBAI: The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) said visitors who weren’t able to leave the country because of flight suspensions will be able to stay longer, state agency WAM reported on Tuesday. The ICA will set up a mechanism for these visitors to prolong their stay legally. The UAE temporarily suspended all passenger and transit flights on Monday. The Emirati authorities “have decided to suspend all inbound and outbound passenger flights and the transit of airline passengers in the UAE for two weeks as part of the precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19,” reported the official state news agency, WAM. There are 198 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country, out of which 41 recovered and 2 died.
