RIYADH: Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corp. (TVTC) Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Fuhaid has directed all technical and vocational training departments in the Kingdom to harness their human and technical potential to support the government committee concerned with combating the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Since the beginning of the crisis, TVTC has put into operation all its crisis and emergency plans, coordinating with the Ministry of Education in preparation of the necessary measures to face the outbreak. It has also placed a number of training facilities and human resources at the disposal of the Ministry of Health. TVTC has delegated more than 134 training facilities to be used as accommodation centers in all regions and more than 4,500 volunteers from the corporation to provide substantive, medical and scouting services. It has also provided 136 buses. This comes in the context of TVTC’s integration with other government authorities concerned with curbing the spread of COVID-19 and the facilitation of their national tasks to serve the country’s citizens and residents.
