DUBAI: The UAE government has told expats whose visas were due to expire on March 1 that they can extend their residency for three months without any additional fees. The decision is part of a series of orders issued by the government aimed at helping residents, as the country deals with the impact of COVID-19. The government has also agreed to waive fines relating to services provided by the Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship – valid for three months from April 1. While digital transactions have been approved for Notary Public’s services to ensure safety of litigants and other judicial workers. And government services, including permits, licenses, and commercial registers can be renewed three months.
