364 new coronavirus cases, 3 more deaths reported in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia reported 364 new coronavirus cases and three more deaths on Friday, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 3,651, Saudi Press Agency reported citing a statement from Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah. Addressing a press conference after holding a coronavirus follow-up committee meeting here, Al-Rabiah said: "As many as 364 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Kingdom, raising the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 3,651,” including 2,919 active cases. He added that 19 more patients have recovered from the deadly virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 685. With three more deaths reported today, the total number of fatalities from the virus has risen to 47, the minister said. Meanwhile during the follow-up committee meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed. The committee discussed the epidemiological situation globally as well as the cases reported locally. All precautionary measures, which have been taken at points of entry into the Kingdom, will continue and will be further enhanced, the committee stressed. Al-Rabiah exhorted everyone who is showing symptoms or would like a check-up to use the self-assessment service in MAWID application and inquire or call Health Service Center by dialing its toll-free number, 937, which is available around the clock.
