RIYADH: Saudi Arabias King Salman, US President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin have agreed that the new OPEC-plus oil deal that was sealed by oil producing countries on Sunday supports the global economy. The three leaders had a joint telephone conversation Sunday night to review the results of the (OPEC +) group meeting and expressed "great satisfaction" with the deal, which is meant to cut oil output to boost prices, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Monday. "The leaders stressed the need for the producing countries to continue to shoulder their responsibilities and commit to them in order to stabilize the oil markets and to support the global economy," SPA reported. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman also had a telephone call with Trump and both welcomed the long-term historic agreement, SPA said.
