Prince Faisal bin Mishaal on Sunday inaugurated the electronic store as part of the Nahr Al-Ataa initiative to assist families in need during the coronavirus pandemic. Prince Faisal presided over a video conference with 16 volunteer teams taking part, working on assisting families by distributing food baskets and coupons as well as providing educational programs for the children of families in need and for those with special needs. Prince Faisal praised the role of volunteers during the global crisis and said that this initiative was one of the objectives of Vision 2030, supported by the Saudi government. The inauguration was attended by Abdulrahman Al-Wazzan, undersecretary of the region, and secretary of the voluntary association, Sufyan Al-Rubaish. Al-Wazzan reviewed a report on the achievements of the initiative and the online store containing family needs (food and household supplies, child-care needs and personal and medical requirements). Each family had been allocated SR500 ($132) to choose its needs from the store, he said. Prince Faisal concluded the video conference by wishing the volunteers the best in helping the families in line with the Saudi vision to achieve integrity between members of society and supportive businessmen in such humanitarian and charitable initiatives.
