RIYADH — PureBorn — created to support the environment, parents and their little ones with its range of eco and ethical nappies and wipes — is launching next month in Saudi Arabia. The expansion comes in response to high regional demand for PureBorn’s environmentally friendly yet affordable collection of childcare products. “We are delighted to be launching in Saudi Arabia as a response to the great demand from parents there. Our easy-to-navigate website ensures that consumers in the Kingdom can make sustainable purchasing decisions in line with our ethos to ‘live clean, give back and smile often’,” says Hannah Curran, founder and CEO of PureBorn. Renowned for their fun and unique prints — with patterns including pineapples, camels, jungle leaves, kisses and leopard — PureBorn nappies have absorbent core made from organic bamboo, recognized as a highly sustainable resource. This has led the company to achieve accreditation from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international non-profit, multi-stakeholder organization promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. PureBorn also recently announced achieving a reduction in the plastic content of its packaging by 40 percent achieved by replacing the material with a hybrid of 30 percent cornstarch — renewable and recyclable and 10 percent plant-based glycerin. Championing local causes, PureBorn also gives 5 percent of sales to charities in the GCC region. Launched in the UAE in 2017 and also available in Bahrain and Jordan, PureBorn is seeing a surge in demand for online orders with a monthly site visitor increase of 156 percent. PureBorn products can be purchased by visiting: www.pureborn.com. — SG
