While the Israeli military spokesman declined to confirm or deny the reports on the bombing, the military reporter for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Yossi Yehoshua, wrote in a tweet: “Carrying out an attack on a car on the Syrian-Lebanese border within a short time amid Corona restrictions is an unusual challenge.” The newspaper said that it did not know whether there was a connection between the bombing and another news discussed by the army command, which reported that at 23:20 pm on Tuesday, Israeli radars spotted an Iranian military plane flying over the airspace of Iraq, returning to Tehran.
