RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Thursday recorded four new coronavirus deaths and 518 new infections, raising the death toll in the Kingdom to 83 and the total number of confirmed cases to 6,380. In a press briefing, Ministry of Health spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali said that out of the total 518 new cases, Jeddah reported the highest number with 195 infections whereas Madinah and Riyadh saw 91 and 84 new cases respectively. Meanwhile, 58 cases were recorded in Makkah and 38 in Dammam. There were 13 cases in Taif, five in Qatif, four in Jubail, three each in Jazan, Ras Tanura and Yanbu, two each in Abha, Al-Muwaih, Allaith, Al-Tawal, Al-Quwaiya, and Al-Qurayyat, while one case each was in Dhahran, Al-Hofuf, Buraidah, Addam and Al-Jafr. Abdel Ali said all the four people who died were expatriates. Two death cases were reported in Makkah while one each in Madinah and Jeddah. Their ages range between 35 and 89 years and most of them were suffering from chronic diseases. Out of the total confirmed 6,380 cases, 5,307 cases are still receiving necessary health care. Most of the patients are in stable condition, while 71 of them are critical and they are receiving treatment in intensive care units of various hospitals. There were 59 cases of recovery reported, bringing the total recovery cases in the Kingdom to 990, the spokesman added.
