DUBAI: The Oman health ministry said it will use drone technology to combat the spread of COVID-19, local daily Times of Oman reported. A joint team of researchers and academics has developed a drone system that can measure and register human temperature remotely. The ministry aims to use the technology to detect unreported cases of coronavirus, the report said. But work was ongoing to improve the accuracy of the drones, which the report said were still facing issues recording temperature of people outside of buildings.
