DUBAI: Twelve frontline paramedics in Dubai have earlier tested positive for COVID-19, state-run WAM reported, and five of them have already recovered and have returned to service. The 12 patients were part of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), which has 1,200 coronavirus frontliners. Executive Director Khalifa Hassan Al-Drai said DCAS has implemented adequate measures to protect its staff, including a regular sterilization at the beginning and the end of a service. Al-Drai added they have added five ambulance vehicles dedicated to coronavirus response, taking total number to 26. DCAS recently deployed a special capsule that can handle critical cases of people with communicable diseases.
