AL-WADIAH — As many as 29 relief trucks affiliated to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) have crossed Al-Wadiah border point with the aim of distributing aid in Taiz, Marib, Aden and Hadhramaut, in Yemen. The trucks crossed the border during the period from April 27- 30. The relief aid carried 1,500 food baskets weighing 165 tons, 39,375 cartons of dates weighing 315 tons and shelter materials containing 240 tents, 1,200 rugs and 3,600 blankets. This aid comes as an extension of relief and humanitarian efforts that the KSrelief provides to all Yemeni governorates. In Taiz, KSRelief distributed on Wednesday 200 food baskets weighing 14 tons and 800kg to needy people on Mayyun Island. About 1,200 people in the Taiz governorate benefited. In Lahore, KSrelief continued on Wednesday, for the sixth consecutive day, to distribute Ramadan food baskets in Punjab, Pakistan, in cooperation with the responsible authorities of the Pakistani government. KSrelief workers delivered the aid to beneficiaries" homes or their nearest sites, taking into account all precautionary measures being taken by the government to prevent the outbreak of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). KSrelief distributed 1,390 food baskets to needy families, benefiting 8,340 people in a number of Punjab"s provinces. This aid comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief assistance being provided by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to Pakistan during the holy month of Ramadan. — SPA
