The legitimate Yemeni government reported in Friday nine new coronavirus cases in the interim capital, Aden. It registered one death in the southern city and another in the southern province of Lahj. This takes the total count in areas under control of the internationally recognized government to 34 infections with seven deaths. The Iran-backed Houthi militias, which control the capital Sanaa, have so far reported one infection, a Somali national who was found dead in a hotel. Observers and residents of Sanaa, however, believe that the total in the city was actually higher, accusing the Houthis of concealing the actual figures.
