DUBAI: Pakistan has flown home around 550 its nationals from Dubai aboard four special flights on Thursday. Pakistan International Airlines operated two special flights to the industrial city of Faisalabad and the remaining two landed in the provincial capital of Lahore, pushing the tally of repatriated Pakistanis to over 5,000 since the flag carrier’s first flight on April 18. About 2,000 Pakistanis have been separately repatriated by Emirates and flydubai. The Pakistani flag carrier has scheduled a special flight for Karachi on Friday and three more flights will be operating from Dubai on Sunday. More than 63,000 Pakistanis have been registered with the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai for repatriation, including 11,000 who lost their jobs because of the coronavirus outbreak.
