DAKAR: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has distributed more than 8,000 iftar meals, food baskets and other hot meals to fasting Muslims in the Senegalese capital Dakar and nearby provinces. The operation was inaugurated in the presence of the Senegalese president’s adviser, Minister Hassan Job, who praised the organization’s efforts and generosity toward Senegal. Needy people, orphans, schools, WAMY’s mosques and centers, local charities and some municipality employees were among beneficiaries of the humanitarian support.
