Al-Anqer gives Ramadan food baskets to S. African Islamic centers

CAPE TOWN — Saudi Ambassador to South Africa Sultan Al-Luaihan Al-Anqer inaugurated here Saturday the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Ramadan Iftar (breaking fast). During the opening he provided food baskets to Islamic centers and preachers accredited by the religious attaché in Pretoria to be distributed to the needy families during the holy month of Ramadan. On this occasion, Al-Anqer said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Ramadan Iftar comes as an extension of the interest of King Salman to enhance fraternal relations with Muslims in various countries of the world. Meanwhile, the Senior Minister for Special Affairs in Cambodia Othman Hassan and the Grand Mufti of Cambodia Haj Qamaruddin Bin Youssef inaugurated in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on Friday the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Ramadan Iftar. The inauguration was done in the presence of a number of preachers of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Saudi Ambassador to Vietnam Saud bin Fahd Al-Suwailem, who did the follow-up and coordination, and the Supervisor of Islamic Affairs Ministry in Cambodia Dr. Yussef Bin Abdullah Al-Hamoudi. Al-Suwailem stressed that the program is an extension of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman’s efforts in the Holy Month of Ramadan to implement such charitable programs in 18 countries around the world, including Cambodia. During the inauguration, Othman Hassan and Grand Mufti Qamaruddin thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their good efforts in serving Islam and Muslims. — SPA
