FAA stores in Saudi Arabia will remain open until May 22

RIYADH — Following the continuing directives and efforts of the Saudi Arabian government to safeguard its citizens and residents in the Kingdom, Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair & Co. has announced its fashion and other retail units will remain open from Thursday ( May 14) until Friday (May 22), except for its outlets in Makkah. The company stated that the health and safety of its customers and employees continues to be of paramount importance and has requested its customers continue to take note of the government’s health and safety precautions to wear a mask and gloves and to ensure appropriate social distancing is observed while shopping. Stores in shopping centers will remain open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily as will its retail units in street locations, and the company’s food and beverage outlets will be open from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. for delivery service. “Alhokair Fashion Retail wants to thank the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health for its continued efforts and actions that have helped create such favorable conditions, and one of the safest situations globally, to enable us to continue our business operations during Ramadan,” said Marwan Moukarzel, CEO of Fawaz Abdulaziz Alhokair & Co. Existing regulations will remain in place for shoppers that include closed changing rooms and contactless payments by credit or debit card are encouraged. The government directive further stipulates the return to a 24-hour curfew from May 23-27 across all cities and regions of the Kingdom.
