KSrelief distributes 4,125 food baskets in Lebanon; continues aid to Somalis, Yemenis

BEIRUT — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in cooperation with Al-Ghina Charitable Association, distributed on Wednesday 4,125 Ramadan food baskets to needy Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian families in Lebanon, benefiting 20,625 individuals. This aid comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief assistance being provided by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and needy Lebanese families during the Holy Month of Ramadan. KSrelief, in cooperation with Al-Egtinam Human Development Organization, continued to distribute Ramadan food baskets in South Kordofan, Sudan. About 400 food baskets were distributed benefiting 2,400 people. This distribution is part of a project to distribute 38,211 food baskets during the month of Ramadan in Sudan. In Galmudug, Somalia, the relief agency continued to provide urgent response and relief assistance to the people affected by the floods that hit an area in this Somali city. In coordination with Misbah Association for Development, 500 food baskets weighing 63 tons have been distributed, benefiting 3,000 individuals. Meanwhile, the beneficiaries extended their thanks and voiced their appreciation to the Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for the assistance. The KSrelief has allocated 3,000 food baskets to be distributed to the affected people in batches. This response comes within the leading and the fundamental role of Saudi Arabia in providing assistance to all peoples around the world. KSrelief sustained their relief activities in different regions of Yemen during this holy month. In Dhale, Yemen, KSrelief distributed 3,250 cartons of dates for the displaced and needy people in AlHussein District of Al-Dhale Governorate, benefiting 3,250 families. This aid was provided under the project of distributing 3,000 tons of dates to Yemenis. KSrelief also distributed, in cooperation with Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief, 600 food baskets weighing 44 tons and 400 kgs to the needy families in Ataq, Shabwah, Yemen. This aid comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief assistance being provided by Saudi Arabia to all Yemenis during Ramadan. In Hadiboh, Yemen, KSrelief distributed 300 food baskets weighing 22 tons and 200 kgs, benefiting 1,800 needy individuals in Hadiboh, Socotra, Yemen. — SPA
