RIYADH: The Saudi Project for Landmine Clearance (Masam) in Yemen dismantled 34 anti-personnel mines, 382 anti-tank mines, 45 explosive devices and 2,321 unexploded ordnance — a total of 2,782 mines — during the second week of May. Since the beginning of the project 166,987 mines have been extracted. More than 1.1 million mines have been planted by Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen during the conflict.
