KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait"s private Jazeera Airways said on Tuesday it was offering 50,000 free round-trip tickets to "frontline heroes" who have been fighting coronavirus pandemic in the country, Kuwait News Agency reported. The tickets would be valid until the end of 2021 and could be redeemed to fly any destination within Jazeera Airways" network. "We are honored to follow the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah...to the government to reward our fellow frontline workers for their efforts to prioritize the safety of our people in the fight against the pandemic," Jazeera chairman Marwan Boodai said in a statement. The tickets will be distributed to frontline workers as directed by the government, said Boodai. Frontline workers nominated and approved by their ministry will be able to book their flight once Kuwait International Airport reopens for commercial flights, he said. Jazeera Airways recently contributed to the repatriation operation of Kuwaiti citizens stranded abroad.
