KSrelief supports Al-Amal Medical Center serving Syrian refugees in Lebanon

ARSAL — The Al-Amal Medical Center here in the Lebanese Bekaa Governorate continues to provide medical services, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), as part of a project to strengthen health services for Syrian refugees and the host community in Arsal. The clinics received 4,575 patients last May, and 8,123 free health services in various specialized clinic departments, in addition to laboratories, pharmacy and other nursing services were provided. The center followed the necessary procedures and precautions in light of the spread of COVID-19. Dr. Tariq Shandab, medical director of the project, explained that Al-Amal Medical Center aims to serve more than 45,000 beneficiaries, providing them with health care in various fields. It has an emergency department that works 24 hours, with an integrated pharmacy providing medicines free of charge to all patients. The patients expressed their deep gratitude for the various humanitarian services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to the refugees and the host community. KSrelief sign agreement for bakery project in Lebanon The KSrelief signed an agreement with the joint executive program of Al-Amal Charitable Bakery Project in Lebanon, for the second phase, in cooperation with the White Hands Association, to prepare the bakery to produce bread. The bread from this bakery is to be distributed daily free of charge to the beneficiaries in Akkar governorate and Miniyeh district and will be benefiting 15,000 people from 3,000 families. The agreement was virtually signed by KSrelief Assistant General Supervisor for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Bin Ali Al-Bayez, at the Center’s headquarters in Riyadh. Aiming at the daily distribution of 6,000 bread bundles, the project will cover the needs of 2,100 Syrian families, 450 Lebanese families and 450 Palestinian families. The project is part of the tireless efforts being exerted by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to improve the living conditions of those in need in various refugee environments and provide them with basic foodstuffs. — SPA
