RIYADH: The Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) spent more than SR14 million ($3.7 million) in May on benefits for 4,830 Saudi graduates taking part in the Tamheer scheme, which provides work placements of between three to six months. Trainees enrolled in Tamheer are allocated SR3,000 per month for the duration of the training period and are also insured against work risks. To qualify for the program, applicants need to be Saudi nationals, higher-education graduates and must have been unemployed for at least six months.
